Game Mode

The rank system assigns a "rank" to individuals based on their game wins and losses during a designated period called a "season," and rewards are given based on the rank achieved.

Ranks are divided into 15 levels, from E2 to S. After the season begins, your starting rank is determined by the outcome of your first three games. You can then climb to higher ranks by earning BP (Battle Points) through game victories. By consistently playing and accumulating wins, anyone can reach A rank. Losing a game will cause your BP to decrease.

S rank is a bit more special. Players who reach A rank by accumulating BP will start earning RP (Rank Points) instead. The top n% of players based on their RP will be selected for S rank. To receive S rank rewards, you must manage your RP to avoid dropping out of the rankings by the end of the season.

Mage Duel offers a variety of 'game modes' to enjoy the game in different ways. You can check each mode from the lobby screen. The game modes include the following:

  • Battle Mode: This is the most basic mode. You can enjoy a 1:1 card battle of Mage Duel against other players. You can start it by pressing the Game Start button on the right side of the lobby screen.

  • Mission Mode: This consists of a Challenge Mode, where you must achieve a certain number of victories within a limited time, and a Quest Mode, where you complete various tasks during gameplay. Both modes offer additional rewards based on your achievements.

  • Scenario Mode: This mode allows you to enjoy the world of Mage Duel. Engage in card battles against AI and experience the stories intertwined with each character and the world.

  • Private Battle Mode: This mode allows you to enjoy a 1:1 battle with someone you invite by issuing a code. You can enjoy private games by inviting friends to compete against each other.
